Kyle Miller (Nicolas Cage) is a businessman who trades in diamonds. His wife Sarah (Nicole Kidman) is an architect. She has designed their modern house of glass, stone and steel in the middle of dense forests and equips with the most advanced security system to protect against burglary. They live in a happy marriage and seemingly have everything a family could wish for. The only problem is their teenage daughter Avery (Liana Liberato), which behaves like a real rebel and doing whatever she want. When the house falls into a hand of thieves who takes them as hostages with demand that Kyle hand over diamonds which held in a protected vault, nothing will be as it was seemed at the first moment. In those moments, the ideal ˝family˝ starts to show their true problems. Lies, deception and betrayal are only part of the new knowledge among them. What is more important for businessman, money or family, whether really exists a confidence among the members of the family…
