Never did they expect to get into a controversial relationship…

In 1930s Korea, during Japanese occupation, a young woman named Sookee is hired as a handmaiden to a wealthy Japanese heiress named Hideko. Hideko lives in a quiet countryside mansion with her strict and controlling uncle, Kouzuki. But Sookee is not who she seems – she’s actually a pickpocket, working with a con man pretending to be a Japanese Count. Their plan is to trick Hideko into falling in love, running away, and giving up her fortune, so they can have her locked away. Everything goes as planned – until Sookee and Hideko begin to feel something real for each other, and the scheme takes an unexpected turn.
