Film ˝Crime d’amour˝ is a psychological thriller in which director shows outwitting of two ambitious rivals. The best part of this film is the transformation of a quiet and private person in a person who is willing to play the game where “the end justifies the means”. Crime d’amour should look and because of well-written script and solid acting.
Brian De Palma did a remake of this film called ˝Passion˝, which has a better atmosphere and photography, but the scenario has a lot of flaws and inconsistencies.
This is also and the last project of French writer-director Alain Corneau, who died a week after its release.
