Two years after her husband, a famous writer Scott Landon, has died, his widow Lisey Landon managed to find the strength to start cleaning up his legacy. Lisey is afraid of this job, although she thought that she continued with his life memories suddenly starting to come back, primarily on attempted murder of her husband and later on the darker, more painful and more dangerous things.

When she starts with that painful job, her troubled older sister Amanda gets nervous breakdown and then falls into depression. At the same time, there is a man who threatened to harm her if the remaining papers of her late husband not to send certain university professor. Soon shows that he was serious and that is ready on everything, persistently avoiding any agreement.

To cope with all this, save himself and helped her sister, Lisey will have to remember much of what was taught by her great husband, but also to remember what is deep inside her and embrace the memories that could hurt her worse than any man. And it will have to do very quickly, because time is running out.
